600 WWII Veterans from Akron, Canton and Dayton Ohio, Fargo, North Dakota were transported to the WWII Memorial where they were met by Senator Robert Dole and former Secretary of State, General Colin Powell. Ray Kaskey, the sculptor of the Eagles, Wreaths and bronze pieces on the site talked briefly about his work. And Stephen Brown, author of "WWII Memorial: Jewel of the Mall" was on hand to deliver the 600 books given to veterans as a memento of their day through Honor Flight.
